Lauren Korte is an Athletic Trainer for the University of Montevallo's Men and Womens basketball team. This demanding position can sometimes be stressful, but Lauren finds a way to managae every task.

Time management between the two teams can become hectic because sometimes schedules conflict with each other and Lauren has to find different ways of being available for each team.

"With having both basketball teams and then it's trying to jugle two practices a day everyday, trying to balance having games on the same day in two different places or one at home one on the road. Even having double headers is pretty stressful because theres no down time between I'd say two hours before the first game starts to an hour after the last game stops." said Lauren

Lauren uses different types of techniques to treat her athletes depending on the injury. Some of these techniques include heating and stretching, ultra sound, electrical stimulation, and/ or ice.

These things are used to help not only treat current injuries but also prevent new injuries.

"Getting the kids ready for practice before hand and them treat them after and doing the same for the other practice, if it's game day usually treatments in the morning and then going to the game or having it hear." as Lauren says.

Lauren works hard to make sure her athletes are able to perform at their best everyday.
