United by Dance (UBD) http://on.fb.me/1E7d8dn is the university's newest organization that was founded by Aliyah Davis. She along with the help of Brittany Burney began their search for those in need of an outlet through dance.
Auditions were held last semester and there was quite a turnout. At the first meeting they had enough people to officially be called an organization, all they had to do was go through the proper channels.
Once members got settled into the organization they began to discuss having a recital. They practiced during homecoming for their upcoming recital, but things started moving swiftly once it ended. They began to practice several days a week in order to perfect their work.
One particularly difficult thing for members to achieve was learning how to clog. Thankfully one member was able to help. “Yeah, clogging. It’s what I do,” says Cathryn Denart.
They are currently rehearsing for their first recital which a Military Appreciation Recital. “It is our first production ever and it is to tell our troops thank you,” says Davis.
