Intramural Sports: A New Source To Fun

Yes, i do believe it is that time again, the time for intramural sports. Students have had 3 weeks of getting back into school mode and all work no play and now the time has come to relax.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2014 the first intramural sport of the year, flag football began. 20 teams signed up to play including female and male.

There was a wide variety of teams from the students who know one another and want to play, to the sororities and fraternities and even some of the actual University of Montevallo sports teams.

Students find a great source of cardio and fitness through intramural's and even find them to be a great way to take there minds off of college and a great way to relax and relieve stress.

 "It's a great way to have some fun when i'm not in class" says Paul Mahaffey, a junior student at the University of Montevallo.

This years intramural sports is destined for a competitive season and prolonged games.
