UPC Silent Disco

By: Johnathan M Turnbow
It was a disco of a different sort.  Montevallo studednts got to let loose and have a dance party of a different kind at the UPC event Silent Disco.

The event had all the excitement and fun of a Disco, but with a bit of a twist.

When they arrived at the event students could trade their student ID for a set of special two channel headphones that allowed them to listen to either of two specially prepared playlists.
As students enjoyed the event a DJ with two special turn tables set up to send the two distinct channels to the specialized headphones.

The event was held at UM's Anna Irving Hall to boogie down in an all new way.  UPC's Hunter Huie explained the fun of the event saying that one of the most fun parts of the event was "knowing who you could, and COULDNT dance with."

Whether you enjoyed yourself daning, or just enjoyed watching, it was a fun time for all students to come and dance through the stress of college.
