Gramatik in Tuscaloosa

Stefan Vaziri

Electronic music as a genre has become increasingly mainstream in the US over the past 10 years and the southeast has become a hotspot for both up and coming producers and fans alike.

Wednesday April 17th Gramatik's age of reason tour came to the Jupiter in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with supporting acts Cherub and HeRobust opening the show. The turn out for a weekday show was impressive for Tuscaloosa, a college town that has adopted the electronic music scene and shown important support for the genre.

The tour continues this summer and is highlighted by a busy touring schedule that includes several festivals and international dates.

Gramatik, born in Slovenia has made a name for himself in the states signing to one of the largest US electronic record labels PLM, a label that gives away all of their artists music for free; a strategy that paid off for them in spades.
