Art Students Show off their Talents

by: Margetta Thomas

The University of Montevallo is home to many talented artists, and they are able to showcase their art in The Gallery. Located in Bloch Hall, The Gallery walls were covered in art from students Amber Orr, and Joshua James.

Students, family, and friends came out on Sunday, April 7, to see Amber and Joshua's collections,
from "Psychedelic Muliebrity"

"Psychedelic Muliebrity," and "Almost Always."

Joshua says that he was inspired by his family and, "the conversations I have, the feelings that I share with them, are without a shadow of a doubt, my core."

Everyone seemed to really enjoy the artwork, including student, Trent Jones. He says that "Almost Always" reflects what's happening in the world today, which is, "Sort of an evolution in conciousness, and our ability to see past form, time, and space."

from "Almost Always"
"Almost Always" and "Psychedlic Muilebrity" will be on display until Thursday, April 11.
