 UMM...Its Music is a music show that is put on by the students and faculty of the University of Montevallo. It gives a unique opportunity for students to gain experience in a production setting that isn't sports or news.

They bring in local talent to play and do whatever that pertains to music. With a group of about 10-12 students helping out, it is a lot of fun and educational as well. The recently acquired HD system keeps students up to date with technological equipment.

With there being such a small crew to put on this show, it enables them to get to know the artist on a more personal level.

Ryan Sexton has been a regular volunteer working with the show this semester and hopes that this experience will translate to a job working as a cinematographer.

"I want to work on cinematography preferably anything that I can really get my hands on with music.

So right now a music show would be the best chance at practicing getting used to different shots on performers and stuff like that.”
