On Tuesday, the University of Montevallo's History Department hosted an event called History Day at Carmichael Library. History Day serves as an opportunity for students to present their research for their senior thesis to the rest of the campus.
There was a wide variety of subjects that were covered by the students, ranging from both World Wars to King Richard the Lionheart.
"I think its definitely a way of PR for the History Department," said senior Madeline Mechum.
History Day was relevant to more than just history majors. Students and teachers from other departments attended the event to check out the exhibits.
